From April 13 to April 14, the National Forum on the Construction of Doctoral Programs in First-level Disciplines of Education and the Seminar on the Construction of Educational Disciplines were held in Capital Normal University, with the participation of 305 teacher representatives from 127 universities across the country. The conference, with the theme of "Developing Educational Disciplines with High Quality," focused on the challenges and opportunities for developing educational disciplines, the path of contribution-oriented educational discipline construction, the development of educational disciplines and interdisciplinarity, etc., and provided new concepts, new impetus and new mechanisms for the development of educational disciplines in the new era. It is the largest event on the construction of educational disciplines in recent years.

A total of six sub-forums and four roundtable forums were held at the conference, where representatives of colleges and universities from all over the country had full exchanges and reported the main content of their exchanges. All the members of the 8th Discipline Evaluation Group (Education) of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee listened carefully to these reports and advocated that all colleges and universities should advance with the times, innovate with the situation, and act in the light of local conditions to break down disciplinary barriers, create new organizational models, reform evaluation mechanisms, and make contributions to the construction of educational disciplines to build China into an educational power at a faster pace.
